To begin the application/enrollment process for new students, parents/guardians are invited to meet with Mrs. Wenthe, our Principal. We will need the 2018-19 Application / Registration Form to be completed and returned to the school office. The form can be downloaded at the right.

Current school families enrolling for the 2018-19 school year will receive online registration instructions in the Spring of 2018.

Additional Registration Information:

Tuition: Sacred Heart School offers one tuition rate for all faiths, and we provide significantly reduced tuition for families with 2+ children enrolled at the same time. While the actual cost to educate each student at SHS is approximately $5800, our goal is to keep tuition affordable while maintaining our school’s operating budget. The 2018-19 tuition rates are as follows: Families with 1 student = $3,517; Families with 2 students = $5,473; Families with 3 students = $6,637.

Material Fees: Material Fees cover expenses including textbooks, e-books, technology fees, special materials required for particular classes, and other items required for each student. For the 2018-19 school year, the SHS material fees are $280 per student.

Annual Fund Gift: Sacred Heart School offers an opportunity to contribute a gift above tuition to help cover the true cost of education. All school families – Catholic and other faiths – are encouraged to make a donation to the Annual Fund in order to narrow the difference between the standard tuition charge and the true cost of educating each child. All contributions above your students’ tuition is considered voluntary, and is thus fully tax-deductible. All gifts stay within Sacred Heart School.

Tuition Scholarships: For eligible families, we offer tuition scholarships for students in kindergarten-grade 8. We utilize a third-party service, Covenant Tuition Services, when determining financial scholarships so as to ensure impartiality and sensitivity to privacy. Applicants will confidentially submit financial information to Covenant Tuition Services, and they recommend scholarship amounts based on the family’s demonstrated need. Online applications are accepted at http://www.cts-tuition.com/app/saceffil/, or forms are in the menu on the right.

Invest In Kids Act: In August 2017, Public Act 100-0465 created the Invest In Kids Act (35 ILCS 40/1) which allows income tax credits for taxpayers who make authorized contributions to a Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO). The SGOs, in turn, provide scholarships for eligible Illinois students to attend non-public (private/parochial) schools in Illinois. The scholarships are available to K-12 students and are based on financial need. With this new legislation, families are able to choose to enroll in a non-public (private/parochial) school with scholarship money available for tuition and necessary fees.
Families wishing to apply for scholarships through the Invest in Kids Act must complete the free application at empowerillinois.org to determine eligibility. The application process opened January 31, 2018. Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis. Contact Mrs. Wenthe at 217.342.4060 for additional information and/or an official letter stating your child is enrolled at Sacred Heart School for the 2018-2019 school year.
